Healthcare Case Study
Understanding the HER2-Negative Breast Cancer Patient Journey (US, 50-75yrs Females)
Project Overview :
This study aimed to gather critical insights into the patient journey of US females aged 50-75 diagnosed with HER2-negative breast cancer, utilizing Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI).

Challenge :
The primary challenge was efficiently reaching and collecting sensitive, in-depth data from a highly specific, niche patient population within a tight 5-day field window. We needed to ensure respondent comfort and high data quality for a 20-minute LOI survey.
Solution :
CAWI Methodology Our CAWI approach was chosen for its ability to provide:
- Privacy & Comfort : Allowing sensitive data collection from respondents' homes.
- Speed & Reach : Rapidly accessing a geographically diverse audience via online panels.
- Cost-Effectiveness : Eliminating the need for interviewers.
- Device Compatibility : Ensuring seamless access on all devices.
Project Results :
Target: US Females, 50-75 years, HER2-negative Breast Cancer. N Size: 50 completed interviews. Incidence Rate (IR): 20%. Length of Interview (LOI): 20 minutes. Field Time: 5 days.
The project successfully met its recruitment target within the aggressive timeline, delivering high-quality, actionable insights into the patient experience for this specific demographic. The CAWI methodology proved highly effective for this sensitive and niche study.
